Hamlins Hill Field Trip

Last week Friday the year 7 and 8's went on a trip to Hamlins Hill.

This guy named Frazier from the Auckland Zoo came last week and we talked about pests, we learnt about what kind of traps there were and one of my favourites was a tunnel with paint and if the pests ran past we could tell which one it was by the footprints. There was a another trap, it was the grand A-24 trap which kills pests when they touch the peanut butter.

We walked up the mountain and Frazier told us to go explore and see what the traps looked like and how they work. While we were searching for traps Limiteti found a mouse, she ran fast like a motorcycle. Then Frazier took a video clip of  Diego and Poni talking about how they saw a rat run across both of them.
