So yesterday afternoon we had to work on our Term 2 events and reflections. I did this because I couldn't think of anything else to do, and we had to clean our files up and file them in the right place. Te Kapua is a shelter that got put in our school and we sat under there for fiafia, sports, and more, the sports I played was basketball and vs dilworth and we lost to them and then we went to St Peter's and vs them and we lost the game. So the disco theme was that we had to wear pj's but we didn't want to so we wore normal clothes. We had lots of fun at disco and memories were made.

We learnt about decimals yesterday, and we got a decimal slide to complete. Mrs Tele'a told us all about how decimals work, after that we went off and started working on our decimals. We have nearly finished the decimal work sheet Mrs Tele'a gave us. We have to put our names on the copy of the presentation and name it your name. The work is really hard to do thanks Mrs Tele'a for teaching me n my friends about the decimals.

 Samoan Flag

National flag consists of a red field, background with a blue canton incorporating the Southern Cross constellation in white. The flag's width- to-length ratio is 1 to 2. Introduced on May 26, 1948, the new Samoan flag was red with four white stars on a blue canton: On February 24, 1949, a fifth star was added.

 Samoan’s Population

Samoa had a population of 199.3 thousand in January 2021. Samoa's population increased by 1,524 +0.8 percent between January 2020 and January 2021. As you can see the population has gone a bit small and little.

The capital of Samoa

The capital of Samoa is Apia. Apia, on the northern coast of Upolu, is the country's only town as well as the main port and centre for services and trade, it contains approximately one-fifth of Samoa's population.

Languages in Samoa

Tongan is the closest to Samoan language. Samoan is from the Austronesian family of languages. It is closely related to other Polynesian languages, especially Tongan. Here is a very cursory overview of the language and some vocabulary. A glottal stop is when you start a vowel with your throat closed, as usually is done in English. On google the information said that the Tongan language was the closest to the Samoan language.

Samoan Drawing

Today we had to finish all our Samoan work and finish drawing. I did this because It was easy for me to do, and I like the pattern, and because I wanna learn how to do the pattern more. Practice makes perfect, I kept trying and this was my ending result of my Samoan drawing of the patterns. The pattern is hard to do and long to do.

FiaFia 2021

Yesterday at 5.30 we had a Fiafia and it was fun and it was a night to never forget.

My favourite groups were the Tongan girls and many more. I really enjoyed watching all of the groups perform last night and I really loved all the effort we put into all our dances.

Fiafia is where we get to celebrate and show our talent and dances. It's a festival to watch and really fun! You can buy food before you watch your kid perform, We always perform to songs of our cultures and always make them happy. Thanks Point England School for this awesome experience.  I'm so glad I've joined to school!
